Import Files

The following import formats are available:

BASTIAN (*.bap)

This import option offers to import individual spreadsheets from the software BASTIAN. In the course of the import, all spreadsheets in the selected BASTIAN file are displayed in a dialog.

Select the sheet to import. Depending on the selected transmission situation, one or two rooms are created.

Please note with respect to the data imported:

  • The transmission direction, the element geometries and, if applicable, the assigned constructions are imported. Calculation settings such as calculation in one-third octave bandwidth or as single-number specifications as well as the evaluation parameter are also imported. The comaptibility mode to EN-12354-2000 is automatically activated (see ISO 12354-2017 parts 1-3).
  • If in BASTIAN the calculation of the structural reverberation time was done with the "Detailed model (acc. to Annex C), a warning message appears during import, because this calculation is currently not yet available in CadnaB. In this case the "Simplified Correction" is used automatically.
  • The geometry of the junction type set in BASTIAN is evaluated during import. This means that - for example - in case of a horizontal room pair with a cross junction existing at the floor, an additional storey below with an additional wall is inserted at this point.

CadnaR (*.cni)

This format imports the room geometry modeled with CadnaR.

Only the room dimensions with respect to length/width/height (defined in CadnaR‘s Room Parameters dialog) are imported. Barriers with the height of the room are imported as walls. Box-type obstacles or barriers reaching the ceiling and forming separate rooms are ignored during import.
