Tables Menu

This menu contains all data organized in tables in CadnaB. These are on the one hand:

  • the construction data via the construction browser,
  • the requirements via the requirements browser,
  • the storeys via Edit Storeys,
  • the Rooms via the Room/habitation assignment,
  • the assignment of CadnaR objects to rooms via Manage CadnaR Projects and
  • the results via the Result table.

On the other hand, in the Tables menu, all objects that have been inserted in CadnaB are summarized as data records in corresponding object tables.

All objects inserted via the graphic are automatically adopted as data records in the corresponding object table and vice versa.

Sorting

Each column can be sorted in ascending or descending order. Click in the column header of the column according to which the entries are to be sorted. An arrow appears showing the sorting direction up/down:

Click again in the column header to reverse the direction of sorting:

Setting column width

The column width of tables can be changed.

Change column width manually

To reduce or enlarge the column width, position the mouse pointer on one of the vertical column dividing lines in the table header. To do this, hold down the left mouse button and drag the mouse to the right to increase the column width or to the left to reduce the column width. Release the mouse button when you reach the desired width.

Column entries fully visible

By double-clicking on one of the vertical column dividing lines in the two header lines, the column width of the table is automatically adjusted to the greatest length of the entries in all columns.

In addition to the “Element type” list box, this input box enables a flexible search for constructions. The following operators are available for numeric conditions:

  • match: \(=\) or \(==\)
  • one-sided restriction: \(>\), \(>=\), \(<\), \(<=\)
  • unequal: \(!=\) or \(\sim=\)

For examples of how to use the search operators, see Construction Browser.
