Software-Updates
When receiving an update of CadnaB you may overwrite the installed version or you may install it to a different directory. An update is always a full version, therefore, the former version is not required.
Launching CadnaB
To start CadnaB, click on the program link in the start menu or on your desktop. Depending on the speed of the computer used, this can take a few seconds.
Note
CadnaB uses the Microsoft .NET Framework version 4.7.2 as the runtime environment, which should be installed by default. If the correct version is missing, you will be informed when the program starts. In this case, you must first download and install the appropriate version. All versions of .NET can be downloaded from the Microsoft website. Administrator rights are required for installation.
Configuration File
User settings and other parameters are saved in a configuration file and loaded when the program is started. For example, change the position and size of the CadnaB main window and then close the program. These settings will be reloaded at the next start.
The CadnaB configuration file is saved in the APPDATA directory every time the program is closed. This is e.g. in the following location:
C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Datakustik\CadnaB
The file format of the configuration file in CadnaB is XML. The file can be read and modified with a common text editor.
Using a distinct language
The default language in CadnaB is “System”. This depends on the language of your operating system, if available, and in all other cases is English. To change the language, start CadnaB and click on “Set language” in the Extras menu. After the change, CadnaB should be restarted because not all parts of the user interface will notice this change.
The selected language is saved by CadnaB in the configuration file.
