Mouse Buttons

"Click" means to press and release a mouse button once. "Double-click" means to rapidly press and release the left mouse button twice.

Click with Left Mouse Button

In order to select an option, execute a command, select an object, or activate an object icon, place the mouse on one of the objects and click once. For CadnaB objects like rooms, walls and windows it is not mandatory to click on the border (compared to CadnaA/R).

Usually, mouse actions always refer to the left button. Otherwise this will be mentioned. With a left-handed mouse or a specially configured mouse, use the appropriate button instead.

Double-click with Left Mouse Button

Double-clicking an existing object or a data record in a table opens the edit dialog where the relevant object parameters can be entered.

Click with Right Mouse Button

Clicking with the right mouse button means to press and release the right mouse button. Depending on which mode you are working in, using the right mouse button has two different effects.

Multiple Selection

In CadnaB there are dialogs with lists (e.g. the display modes in the main window) in which there is the possibility of selecting several lines at the same time by marking them.

Selecting a line

One click with the left mouse button on the desired line. Clicking on another line marks it and unmarks the previous one.

Selecting several lines in a row

Click the first line with the left mouse button, press and hold the Shift key and click the last desired line. The lines in between are also marked and thus selected.

Press and hold the CTRL key and click on the desired lines. A marked line remains marked. If you click again while holding down the CTRL key, it will be unmarked again.

Wheel Mouse

With a wheel mouse the wheel may be used to zoom in and out of the graphics quickly.
