Object Tables
The object tables are available from the Tables menu and contain the following object types:
- Storeys
- Apartments
- Rooms
- Floors
- Walls
- Junctions
- Inserted/small elements
- Bitmaps
- Labels
- CadnaR Projects
Edit entries
Click in the appropriate cell and enter the new value or make another selection. Only cells with a white background can be edited.
Synchronization
The data records in tables are synchronized with the CadnaB graphics. If a data record is selected in a table, the corresponding graphic object is marked in the main window simultaneously.
Buttons
The following buttons are available in the object tables accessible via the Tables menu:
- Close: closes the table and applies any changes
- Add: This feature is for the time being just available for the "Bitmap" and "Text Frame" object types.
- Duplicate: This feature is for the time being just available for the "Bitmap" and "Text Frame" object types.
- Delete: The delete function is not available for all types of objects (currently just for objects “Wall”, “Window”, “Bitmap”, “Text frame”).
- Edit: opens the edit dialog of the selected object. The feature depends on the current mode (see Edit & Display Modes). The functionality corresponds to that of a double click on the object in the 2D view.
- Printing: currently not available
- Export: exports the table contents as a text file, with columns separated by commas ASCII (* .csv)
Context menu
The context menu provides the following features depending on the selected object type:
- Add: adds a new object to the table
- Delete: deletes the selected object after confirming a safety prompt
- Duplicate: creates a duplicate of the selected object with identical properties of the original (except for its internal ID)
- Edit: opens the object dialog of the selected object
Additional functions in object tables
In object tables, the "Name" column can be renamed simultaneously for several objects in a table. To do this, select several objects with the mouse and then enter the new name using the keyboard. The wildcard # can be used for single or multi-digit (e.g. ### = 3-digit) numbering.
