Library Manager
The Library-Manager (Tables menu) enables to manage spectral data and other type of library data in CadnaA files. Available features are:
- copying data within CadnaA, e.g. from a local to a global library and vice-versa,
- loading/saving data from/to separate library files (*.dat) and
- deleting all or selected data.

Dialog options
Library
Select from the list box „Library“ the desired library. Available are:
- Sound Levels
- Sound Reduction Indices
- Absorptions
- SET-S
- Diurnal Pattern
- Train Classes
- Road Surface
- Color Palette
- SymLib (2D symbols)
- SymLib 3D (3D symbols)
- Directivity
Type
Select the corresponding type of library. Available are:
- Local: refers to the local type of the selected library
- Global: refers to the global type of the selected library
- Default: refers to the respective library contents stored in the source code of CadnaA (e.g. for train classes)
- File: refers an external library file (file types: *.dat, *.cna)
Selection
Either selects „All“ spectra or objects from the selected library or a selection of spectra or objects.
Enter a string for „Expression“ which will be used for checking the ID (see manual „Introduction to CadnaA“) of the spectra or objects. Only matching spectra or objects will be copied or deleted (for available operators see Searching for Strings in the manual „Attributes, Variables, and Keywords“).
Action
This option determines whether the selected spectra or objects are to be copied or deleted.
Destination
When having selected the action „Copy to“ the destination can be defined:
- Local/Global: Copies the selected spectra or objects to the local or global library.
- File: Enables to select the file path and to enter the filename of an external library file. The file extension *.dat is attached automatically.
When having selected „Delete“ the destination is deactivated. In this case all selected spectra or objects are deleted.
Name Collisions
This option defines how to handle name collisions. In case of collisions the original can be overwritten (default), or kept. If "Keep both" is selected, new entries are imported and listed separately, even if they have the same ID. Entries with the same ID should be avoided within one library, as this may result in an incorrect assignment.
Importing Spectra from external Databases
Spectra or objects imported from external databases are stored to the local library, The import is arranged via menu File|Database (see Database Import (ODBC & XLSX)).
