Calculation acc. to ...

The calculations can be performed according to:

Notes:

  • Only the calculation methods available with the license are shown.

  • Note: Projects created with CadnaA 2021 MR2 or earlier are opened with calculation method „2015/996 XX without 17534-4 2020“ 17534-4-20. This option is only available when opening earlier projects and ensures a recalculation with the same results.

Calc exactly one Reflection Order

By default, this option is deactivated. In this case, the maximum order of reflection is specified via the „Reflection“ tab (see Reflection Tab).

Calculate outer Lanes separately

By default, the center lines of the outermost lanes of a road are the emission lines (at a height of 0.05 m). When this option is deactivated just the road’s center line represents the emission line.

Use Temperature from Meteorology-Tab

If this option is activated, the temperature defined in the Meteorology tab is used for the emission calculation. If deactivated, 20 °C is taken into account. This setting refers only to the calculation of emissions and has no influence on the temperature considered in the propagation.

Studded Tyres, Period Ts (months)

Number of months where studded tyres are used (within a single year).

Studded Tyres, Percentage Qstud,ratio (%)

This is the average ratio of the total volume of light motor vehicles per hour equipped with studded tyres during the period Ts (in months).

Max. Speeds of Vehicle Classes

Specification of the maximum speeds for each vehicle class.

Note

In CNOSSOS-EU, there are two types of maximum speeds: the maximum legal speed of the vehicle category and the maximum legal speed of the road or a road section (see CNOSSOS-EU (Road)). In the calculation, the lower of both applies.

Default Percentages

These default percentage values apply when the road‘s emission is specified as MDTD (with or without use of diurnal patterns), and not by hourly traffic data. In this case, default percentage values for the amount of vehicles of class 3 in the sum of (2+3), and amount of vehicles of class 4b in the sum of (4a+4b) are required.

Default values: 3 of (2+3)=50 %, 4b of (4a+4b)=50 %.

Vehicle Classes

Selection of the emission parameters used for the specific vehicle classes 1, 2, 3, 4a and 4b. The following entries (in this order) are displayed in the selection:

  • (default): Automatic selection of the emission parameters based on the selected calculation procedure at Calculation acc. to ...
  • Emission parameters defined in the local library (if defined), see Vehicle Classes
  • Predefined parameter sets for vehicle classes, which cannot be modified or extended.

Maximum Pass-By-Level

The calculation procedure is described in the country-specific implementation of Norway SINT-2021-00990. Further information of the input parameters can be found at Parameters for calculation of maximum Pass-By-Level. It is possible to use the procedure with other country-specific implementations of CNOSSOS, for example EU, DE or AT.
