Print Graphics using a Template File (outdated)

Besides the File|Print Graphic command, the graphics can still be printed using a template file for graphic output.

Note

This feature can be used to generate printouts based on existing template file for graphic output. Since this feature is no longer maintained in CadnaA, the graphic-specific keywords are no longer part of the documentation.

Procedure

Select the File|Print Template File (outdated) command to display the print dialog.

Options

Printer

selection of printer, paper size and orientation

Margins (mm)

definition of the margins and/or the height and/or the width (in mm). The page margin (Top/Bottom and Left/Right) is the distance from the possible printing area of the printer plus the spacing specified in the printing menu. The height is measured from the margin defined for top and the width from the margin defined for left.

Print

Select via the „Select“ button existing template file for graphic output. Via the button „Edit“ this file can be edited.

Other

Specify the print quality and the number of copies. With the option „Print to file“ active, the graphics gets saved to a file.

Default Print Range

There are three options for the standard printing range:

  • Limits: prints the limits of the project file, as defined via menu Options|Limits (see Limits).
  • Window: prints the area visible on the screen.
  • Section: In this case the selected section (see Section) gets printed.
