Compact Protocol
With the compact protocol, a single line is generated for each combination of source and receiver, representing the effective corrections or attenuation terms. Please note, that for extended sources, all rays from all sub sources as well as all frequency components for spectral sources, are combined. The result levels LrT and LrN refer - as with the detailed protocol - to the pure day and night time period (and not to a mixed level, for example Lde).
Since the compact protocol is derived from the detailed protocol, it is also necessary to first activate the "Write Log" option and perform a new calculation for receivers.
Generation
- First, generate the detailed calculation protocol by activating the "Write Protocol" option in the menu Calculation|Protocol, see Calculation Protocol.
- Restart the calculation for receivers. The protocol file is written.
- Export the Compact Protocol via the button Calculation|Protocol|Export. The available file formats are either txt or html.
- When using html, the generated file can be opened and printed with any standard internet browser. The background color of the table headers can be controlled through the print settings.
The compact protocol is always generated for a single time period only (D, E, or N). In the protocol menu, this can be defined by specifying a period. If "(all)" is selected, the day period is used.

The generation of the compact protocol is supported for the following calculation methods:
- Industrie: VDI, ISO 9613-2 (1996), ISO 9613-2 (2024), HJ24, Schall03 (2014), CNOSSOS-EU, NMPB-Ind-08
- Straße: RLS-90, RLS-19, CNOSSOS-EU, NMPB-Routes-08
- Schiene: Schall03 (1990), Schall03 (2014), CNOSSOS-EU, NMPB-Fer-08

An example calculation for a line source according to ISO 9613-2 (1996), including various corrections and attenuation terms, is stored in the example folder. Calculations for other standards and guidelines follow the same approach.
