Conflict Maps
A conflict occurs where the relevant maximum level has been exceeded. In the same way as the noise map shows the areal level distribution, a conflict map shows the degree of excess or deviation from the relevant limiting value as a colored map.
Prior to the calculation of the conflict map the file with the noise map should be saved (via menu File|Save As).
After the areas of designated land use (see Area of Designated Land Use) have been specified, the conflict maps can be calculated as CadnaA knows the relevant limiting levels for each type of noise.
Example
Path: Examples\Immissions\Option XL\XL_01.cna
- To this end, select on dialog Grid|Calc Map of Conflict the noise type which was used to calculate the current noise map. In this example, road traffic noise has been calculated.
- Close the dialog by OK to calculate the map of conflict.

In the calculation, the standard receiver values specified for this type of noise will be considered for any type of land use. They are specified on dialog Options|Land Use (see Type of Land Use.).
In general, the colored representation of the map disappears because the color palette defined does not match the level differences shown in the conflict map. Therefore, select on dialog Grid|Appearance a suitable color palette for this evaluation parameter.
