Templates

Templates are CadnaA-internally settings for a calculation according to a specific standard, regulation, guideline or calculation method. If a template is selected, the configuration of calculation and - if applicable - optionally the following settings are checked:

  • Settings for Building Noise Map (default = active)
  • Individual objects (default = active)
  • Usage areas (default = inactive)

Selecting a template

If a template is selected via the folder icon, it will then be compared with the current CadnaA model. If differences between template and project exist, they will be displayed in the dialog. By clicking OK the parameters of the template are applied to the current project. If Cancel is clicked, the project will not be modified.

Check before calculation

Furthermore - if a template is defined - it will be checked before each calculation and in case of a deviation the dialog will be displayed. The user can decide if the parameters should be modified or kept. If no selection is made, the dialog closes after 30 seconds without changing any parameters. The template can be deactivated by selecting the first entry "-".

Note

If CadnaA is executed in batch-mode, templates are not considered before starting a calculation.

Available templates

Currently following templates are available:

The templates can also be applied when starting a new project via menu File | New (Template).

Industry / Road / Railroad / Aircraft

For each noise type industry, road, railroad and aircraft, a calculation procedure - depending on availability - can be selected individually. Please consider, that only those standards/guidelines are shown, which are available with the license used.

With the calculation according to „CNOSSOS-EU“, a further selection of the calculation procedure, e.g. according to „2021/1226 EU“, can be made on the corresponding tab for each noise type.

Open/Save Configuration

Via the buttons „Open Configuration“ and „Save Configuration“ the configuration settings (including all settings on all further tabs) can be opened and saved.
