Miscellaneous

The dialog Miscellaneous (Options menu) offers the following options.

Decimal Separator

Select the point or the comma as decimal separator. Use the corresponding separator by input in edit boxes or table columns. CadnaA is able to correct wrong separators in the most cases. But this is not always possible especially in input boxes for equations. In this cases the point has to used as a separator because the comma is a special character (e.g. max(1,2) = 2) in input boxes.

Weighting for Octave Bands

For calculated octave bands you can choose the weighting (lin, A, B, C, D) for display and print out. After changing the weighting the resulting octave bands will be displayed straight.

The setting can influence reading / writing access of the attributes S and SIN, see also S.

Marker size

Select the size of the marker displayed at a marked object by selecting the pertinent value.

Segment Length

While drawing an open or closed polygon you can enter fixed predefined segments holding the CTRL-key pressed. Enter the desired length (m) for the segment. The default value is 10 m. With this e.g. equal sections of a noise barrier can be entered.

Update during Drag

When clicking into a white area of the screen and hold the left mouse button pressed a hand symbol appears. In this mode the graphics can be moved in any direction within the limits. With activated option the graphics will be updated continually during moving, otherwise after releasing the mouse button.

Update during Calculation of Grid

By activated option the calculated grid is build up by colored areas during the calculation is still in progress.

Background beyond the Limits

You can assign a different color to the area which doesn't belong to the Limits. For that click on the color button and choose the desired color.

Multiselect Color

Appearance color for objects selected via Multiselect (default: magenta).

Legend uses Grid Level Range

If this option is activated, the value range when using the object „Symbol“ (see Symbol) with the selection „Legend“ depends to the level range defined on dialog Grid|Appearance. This enables to restrict the displayed range of values.

Floor numbering

This option enables to select the type of floor numbering listed on option „Show floors“ (dialog Building Noise Map, see Building Noise Map) and in the results table (dialogs Edit Result Table and Result Table, see Result Table for the Building Noise Map).

The following types of floor numbers are available:

  • EG, 1.OG, 2.OG, 3.OG, 4.OG (German designations)
  • 0, 1, 2, 3, 4 (numbering using 0=ground floor)
  • Ground, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th (English designation incl. ’ground floor’)
  • 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 (numbering using 1=ground floor)
  • 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th (English designation)
