HJ 2.4 (2021)

Dialog Railway for HJ 2.4 (2021)
Train Classes and Penalties
For the calculation method HJ 2.4 (2021) the emission of a railway object is always defined with train classes and penalties. In particular, there is no direct input of the sound power for a railway object.
The types of trains and train classes, numbers of trains and corrections can be edited locally, or an existing list with number of trains can be selected.
Corrections
Following corrections can be selected acc. to chapter B.3.1 of HJ24-2021:
- Jointed Track
- Turnout or Crossover
- Ballasted Track
- Slope (uphill > 6 ‰)
- Radius of Curvature (m)
- Elevated Line
- Baffles or U-beam (only relevant in combination with Elevated Line)
CadnaA considers the corrections for all train classes (Railway below/ above 200 km/h and Urban Rail Transit). For „Railway (speeds of between 200 km/h and 350 km/h)“, the corrections are applied to the source at 0.5 m only.
Local Train List

Train Type
If a train type has been defined in the local library (Library (local)|Train Classes) it can be selected from the drop down menu. Definitions in the global library (Library (global)|Train Classes) can be accessed via the folder symbol. For general information regarding the definition of train classes, see chapter 2.6.13. Please also note the information proivded in the subsection "Application HJ 2021" in the beforementioned chapter.
Number of Trains Day/Evening/Night
Numbers of trains in time period D/E/N according to their definitions, see Reference Time Tab.
Speed v (km/h)
speed of train (km/h)
Train Length (m)
length l of the train; e.g. required for the calculation of te,qi
Vmax (km/h)
Maximum speed for all trains. If a train specific speed is greater than Vmax, Vmax is used instead.
Pass-By of individual Vehicles
The function „Pass-By of individual Vehicles“ (see Pass-By of individual Vehicles) is not available for HJ 2.4 railway noise, because the given emission data is not suitable for the pass-by calculation.
