Partial Levels

Clicking the button „Partial Level“ on the dialog Receiver opens the table Partial Level.

Partial Level and Variants

By default, partial levels are stored and shown for each variant. For files created previous to version 2022, partial levels are only stored for the variant calculated most recently (see Variants).

Partial Level at Receiver

The list of partial levels displays for this receiver the A-weighted partial level and the linear or A-, B-, C- or D-weighted octave spectra (also when calculating in third-octaves) for the evaluation parameters defined and for all sound sources considered in the calculation. The weighting for octave bands can be specified via menu Options|Miscellaneous (see Miscellaneous).

Delete partial levels

With many sources and receivers, partial levels can take up much storage, which may be deleted by the user before saving a file. For this, the menu Tables offers the command „Delete partial levels“. When the command is executed - after a confirmation prompt - the partial levels of all receivers for the current variant can be deleted. If the command is executed with the CTRL key pressed, the partial levels for all variants can be deleted. Please note, that the results for evaluation parameter 1...4 are not deleted.

Partial Levels for parameters L1hmaxD/E/N

For the evaluation parameters L1hmaxD / E / N (see Evaluation Parameters Tab), no partial levels are displayed due to RAM memory limitations. For calculating the levels L1hmaxD/E/N, the software requires to calculate and save 24 individual 1-hour-slices in order to determine the loudest hour, all partial for all 1-hour-slices cannot - as well as with variants (see above) - be saved due to memory limitations. This is, therefore, not a logical, but a technical restriction.

Partial Levels for maximum level LmaxD/E/N

In case a maximum level LmaxD/E/N (for industrial sources) is selected as an evaluation parameter (see Evaluation Parameters Tab), then the respective table column displays at each active receiver and for each source for which a maximum emission level has been specified (see Common Input Data), the maximum level for the most recently calculated variant. Then, the result LmaxD/E/N displayed in the respective Receiver dialog is the loudest these maximum levels.

Sort Column

Select the Sort Column (see Object Tables, Sorting Columns) command from the context menu to have the columns sorted.

Overall Partial Levels

Selecting the menu Tables|Partial Levels opens an overall list of the partial levels at all receivers caused by all sources considered in the calculation.

Group

On menu Tables|Groups, the partial levels of all noise sources belonging to the group are displayed (see Groups).

Variants

In case several variants (see Variants) are defined and active, the partial levels are displayed for the variant most recently calculated only.

Performance Parameters with no Partial Levels

For the following evaluation parameters no partial levels are displayed (neither on table Partial Level for a receiver, nor on table via Tables| Partial Level menu):

  • standard deviations Sigma D/E/N
  • loudest hourly level L1hMaxD/E/N (see above)
  • equation =f(x)

Suppress Display of empty Table Lines

The display of „empty“ lines in the Partial Level table can be suppressed by a corresponding entry in the file CADNAA.INI. Add in section [Main] the following line to achieve this:

NoEmptyPartLev=1

With that value being 1 no „empty“ spectra will be displayed.

Note

„Empty“ spectra result from sources outside of the search radius or from sources been excluded from the calculation due to a maximum error specified.

Note

Irrespective of this setting, the partial levels of all sources will be displayed on dialog ObjectTree|Partial Level and on table Partial Level on the Tables menu.
