Print Graphics

The command File|Print Graphic enables to print the graphics which may consist of several pages, each independently designed using the PlotDesigner (see PlotDesigner). Alternatively, this command is available from the PlotDesigner‘s toolbar or in the local File menu.

Printer

In this dialog section the currently selected printer is displayed. Use the „Setup“ button to open the WINDOWS-specific dialog for printing devices. By activating the option „Print to File“ a printer file is generated. In the course of printing the file name is queried.

Note

Please note that toggling portrait and landscape printing modes cannot be done via this Printer Setup dialog, but has to occur via the project cell in the cell tree of the PlotDesigner (see PlotDesigner, Project).To this end, double click the project cell in the cell tree an select via the „Setup“ button on tab „Paper“ the required paper format.

The following print ranges are available:

  • All: Prints all pages designed in PlotDesigner (see PlotDesigner).
  • Single Page: If more than a single page has been designed in PlotDesigner, select the page to be printed from the list box.
  • Pages (in parenthesis: number of pages available): You may specify individual pages or a range of pages to be printed. Individual pages are separated by commas, a range of pages is addressed by a hyphen. In the later case, one-sided open ranges are possible as well. The table below shows possible ranges in a document having 11 pages.

In this list box, the print quality may be selected (Default, Draft, Low, Medium or High).

Copies

number of copies to be printed

button „Print“

Clicking this button starts the print-out via the selected printer.

button „Preview“

A new dialog showing the print preview is opened. The print preview always contains all the pages of the project, regardless of the currently selected print range.

button „Cancel“

cancels the operation and closes the dialog
