Calculate Receiver Chains

Selecting this command to calculate the sound pressure level at the receivers of all receiver chains.

The A-weighted sound pressure level and the Speech Transmission Index (STI) are calculated for each receiver chain separately with the sole emission of the point source referenced. Thus, all other active sources (also those which are not linked to any receiver chain) have no effect on the calculation result of the respective receiver chain.

Note

By contrast, clicking on the calculator symbol on the symbol bar (or selecting the command Calc Receivers from the Calculation menu) or calculating the grid or voxel grid will include all active sources (i.e. the point sources referred to in all receiver chains and all other active sources).

With the SHIFT key pressed, just the actual variant (see Variants) is calculated. With the SHIFT key pressed while having a receiver chain selected, just this chain for the actual variant is recalculated.

Calculation Progress

During the calculation, the progress is displayed in a separate dialog which offers to stop the calculation can be aborted (see Calculation Progress).
