Line Source

Line sources represent a source type with one dimensional geometry. A line may consist of polygon points of arbitrary number which may have different heights. Upon calculation line sources are segmented depending on their dimensions and the distance to the receiver. Each segment is replaced by a point source with a corresponding sound power.

Dialog options

  • Name, ID, ObjectTree and Memo-Window see Common Input Data
  • 3D-Length: The total length (in m) of the line object - in contrary to the displayed 2D-length on the CadnaR main window.
  • Result. LwA / Result. LwA' (dB): shows the resulting A-weighted sound pressure level and the A-weighted sound pressure level per unit length
  • Sound Power Level LwA / LwA' (dB), operating time and dialog range „Emission Spectrum“: see Common Input Data - Sources
