Editing Objects

After have entered the geometry data of an object the acoustical data necessary for a calculation are entered (e.g. the sound power level of sources or the absorption coefficient of obstacles). In general, the input of this data is carried out via the respective object dialog using the keyboard in (see Chapter 5 - CadnaR-Objects).

Use one of the following options to open an object dialog:

  • while in the insert mode (i.e. after selection of an object from the toolbox): click once with the right mouse button onto the object’s border (e.g. with area sources and box-type obstacles) or onto its axis (e.g. with line sources or barriers).
  • while in edit mode (i.e. after clicking the symbol in the toolbox or by pressing the key combination CTRL+E):

    • double-click with the left mouse button on the object, either onto its border (e.g. with area sources and box-type obstacles) or onto its axis (e.g. with line sources or barriers) or
    • point and click with the mouse pointer at the border of the object to open the context menu. Click with the left mouse button on the context menu command Edit or press the RETURN key while the object is selected.
