Scale and Zoom

Besides the list box „Scale“ on the symbol bar, there are three types of zooming tools for the graphics available from the CadnaR toolbox. Using a wheel mouse the scale can alternatively be altered by scrolling the mouse wheel forward/backward.

Changing Scale

List Box Scale

Select from the list box a predefined scale or enter a scale value. After having entered a value press the RETURN key in order to apply the new scale.

Zoom +

The "Zoom +" icon on the toolbox enables to enlarge a specific area of the graphics. There are two ways of enlarging a selected area:

  1. Clicking with the left mouse button enlarges the graphics by a factor of two with each click. The location of the mouse pointer becomes the new centre of the displayed area.

  2. While holding the left mouse button pressed a rectangle is drawn around the objects to be enlarged. Upon release of the mouse button the area within the rectangle will be enlarged to the size of the main window.

The enlargement can be undone by clicking with the right mouse button repeatedly.

Zoom -

The "Zoom -" icon on the toolbox enables to reduce specific area of the graphics. Clicking with the left mouse button into the graphics reduces the scale by a factor of two. The location of the mouse pointer becomes the new centre of the displayed area. The reduction can be undone by clicking with the right mouse button repeatedly.

Zoom to fit

When clicking on this tool, all objects lying outside the visible area will immediately be shown on the CadnaR main window. The scale used depends on the floor area of the room (see Room) and the size of the CadnaR main window.
